The Moroccan occupier's barbaric assaults against Sultana Sid Brahim and her family must end.

Early this morning November 15, 2021, a dozen Moroccans assailants raided the home of Sid Brahim Jaya's family, under criminal siege, since November 19, 2020, in Bojador, an occupied city in Western Sahara. Three attackers immobilized Sultana Sid Brahim Jaya who was screaming and trying to get out of their grip. Then they took turns sexually raping her. Two other attackers did the same with his sister Luara Sid Brahim Jaya. The rest of the group smashed windows and destroyed everything in their path, scattering food and tearing SADR flags. These heinous acts were committed in the presence of their 84-year-old mother Minatu Embeirik, who was trembling with fear and helplessness as she begged the abusers to stop their dirty work.

The bodies of the two sisters show multiple injuries after the attacks of their aggressors. They are devastated and ceaselessly cry over the impunity enjoyed by their aggressors.

The Association of Families of Prisoners and Disappeared Sahrawis (AFAPREDESA) has followed with great concern the continued sexual, physical and verbal assaults against Sultana Sid Brahim Jaya and her family by the occupation forces, since November, 19, 2020.

AFAPREDESA strongly condemns the heinous crimes perpetrated by the Moroccan occupation forces against Sultana Sid Brahim Jaya and her family.

AFAPREDESA launches an urgent appeal to the international community to put an end to the suffering endured by Sultana and Her Family in the total indifference of Spain, the administering power and of the United Nations as responsible for the decolonization of the territory of the Sahara Westerner and the enjoyment of his people of the right to self-determination. AFAPREDESA calls on the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to fully assume its humanitarian responsibility to assist civilian victims of violations of the Geneva Conventions.
